FAT VIKING is a winter ultra endurance race on snowmobile tracks, dogsledding trails, snowcovered roads and cross country skiing trails around Geilo / Skurdalen / Dagali. This is a winter expedition event that will require some experience and winter survival skills. There are checkpoints with some simple food (oatmeal, nuts, raisin), hotdrinks, and opportunity to rest available inside a heated building. The GPS files will be provided before the race.
Distances: 50 km, 100 km, 150km.
Prior to the race, a 3-day training camp is arranged to learn and practice the essentials of safe and efficient winter travel.
