Yorkshire Divide allows you to embark on gravel bike and mountain bike adventures on trails that celebrate the rich heritage and diverse nature of Yorkshire, England’s largest county. The route traverses ten rivers, along with ancient drovers’ lanes, bridleways, moorland singletrack, and peaceful country roads that trace the high ground where the rivers rise and span the floodplain where they gently meander.
In May, there are 2 trails to choose from:
- The Headwaters Trail at the start of May that connects bridleways and greenways and takes you over Pennine moors to the source of the River Aire high above Malham, the River Don above Peniston and the River Calder above Todmorden. Register: https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?event_id=12220
- The Source to Sea Trail at the end of May is a multi-day adventure traversing the Swale, Ure, Nidd and Esk rivers, the majestic Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, a fine stretch of coast between Whitby and Scarborough, and the Vale of York. A field-tested gpx file will be sent to your email address three weeks before the event to get you around the route.
